Nov 2000 Kelli & Russ Trip Report
Just returned from a week @ hedo3 again. It was strange being in another country while watching ours go to the dogs with this election. The Jamaican's were funny. During one of the games they asked the question (for hedo bucks)," who is the president of the U.S."? One person said Clinton, another said Bush and another said Gore. Crazy Shawn laughed and said NO, you don't have one Mon. (don't know if he understood that Clinton IS our president past super Tuesday).
CNN was very much watched in between drinks, parties (even televised during the P.J. party Tues. night). The crowd was different (a little more mellow), as they had just ended a lifestyles week, but still much fun was had.
Several of the staff are gone however, most remain. I met w/ Michelle who was as wonderful as ever and very helpful. She gave me some photos, new brochure that just came out (awesome cover shot) and other stuff for my business. I'm a travel agent and have only focused on the Florida Keys for years. We are currently expanding to become an agent for Superclubs and the cruise line industry in the Caribbean. Once we have our new site up, I'll let you know in case anyone wants to see the new photos, get super deals to hedo, etc. I'm going back to Jamaica in Feb. to become a Jamaican Travel Specialist (hate it but I have to go :)) and then we'll be back at Hedo3 in May (job is forcing me to go... yeah right!)
Anyone else going back in May? By the way... they now sell Bud Light in the gift shop for those who don't like Red Stripe. One last note. For everyone who was there in May (and it rained), we didn't have a single cloudy day this trip. The water temp. was warmer than here in Florida and the sun was balmy and bright!
