Trip Report
Kurt & Justine
Wild Bunch Hedo-Ween Oct 2005
This trip report is painfully late, but here it is
We got into Sangster in the early afternoon of the 28th and we were prepared for a blast of heat as we got off the plane. Thankfully they now have a 20th century system in use. Now we don’t have to walk down the rolling stairs and across the tarmac. Customs was the usual headache we even had some “toys” taken away from us.
The trip to the resort was pretty uneventful and went rather quickly actually. We dropped off some people at Starfish and Breezes and made the obligatory tourist stop along the way. We got to the resort and realized that we didn’t have all of our luggage. One suitcase got left behind in customs. It didn’t take too long for them to track it down and they delivered it to us that night.
The weather was pretty good considering the weather patterns afflicting the area at the time. There were some periods of clouds and rain but the weather was still warm and there was at least some sun every day. It was good to see friends we met in May and meet some new ones.
Our first few nights were pretty fullwe got out and socialized as late as we could. It was good to see the Wild Bunch
ladies showing up the beautiful people on the bar. We didn’t seem to have as much strength this trip we went to bed early most nights and probably missed a lot of the fun. We did make some of our own fun though (evil grin).
The girls (Justine & Linda) spent a good deal of the trip in the rooms doing decorating stuff, but it paid off. There was a lot of hard work and creative thought going on by everyone involved in the room decorating contest. I, for one, would be overjoyed to never see a piece of that damn webbing stuff for the rest of my life.
The Quad take-over was lots of fun we amassed the largest number of balloons ever by Walts account. It was a blast that was loads of fun. People everywhere were having fun with it and trying to catch volleyed balloons to hurl back. Linda was also the recipient of a truly un-intentionally accurate balloon hit to the top of her head ;D.
There were a few bouts of sickness going around more than likely the kind one is apt to contract in tropical areas, but ”nurse Justine was busy making house calls, tending to our sick. Thankfully enough nobody got deathly ill, requiring a quick trip home or worse. Regardless of our lack of oomph this trip, we still had a LOT of fun. We didn’t have any problems till we got to the airport to leave.
