Trip Report 5-16-2000
From Jim and Shawna
WOW.......we got to the airport in Montego Bay and was taken by Superclubs on
the adventurous ride to Hedonism III. It wasn't as bad as everybody says,
it was fine for us. Before we got under way the driver stopped and got us
all Red Stripe Beers which was great since it was so hot. We also stopped
half way there and got more at this little market. We were under way
shortly and soon made it to the entrance of HEDO III. We were greeted at
the front desk by two from our group, Walter and Cheryl Cade. They were
sprawled on the couch with big grins. That started it all!!!! We found out
that Walter had moved our room to join his and most of the group on the nude
side. We were moved to building 6, ocean view, and boy did it have a view.
It faced and overlooked the nude pool and beach so you can imagine the view.
They didn't have our room right away so we stowed our stuff in Walter and
Cheryl's room and then proceeded with clothes on thru the nude pool area
trying not to stare too much :) We met a couple more from our group on the
way to the Scotch Bonnet for lunch. We all joined there and had our first
Jerk Chicken and dirty banana. The jerk chicken was so spicy hot I could
hardly eat it, but then again it was so good you couldn't stop. You just
kept drinking a lot of dirty banana to keep your mouth cooled off. Our
first hour in HEDO was enough to complete the vacation all together and we
still had the rest of the week.
After about an hour Michelle from Sales came up to us in the Scotch Bonnet
and brought us our room keys and walked us to our room and had a bellman go
get our bags from Walter and Cheryl's room and bring it to ours. The room
was beautiful. It's brand new and very nice. The bed had a very
comfortable pillow top mattress for when we layed down for a few minutes a
day. The bathroom was very nice with it's jacuzzi tub that I didn't get to
use while there but wanted to badly. There was two nice windows in our room
that opened up on the nude area. We would leave them open during the day
for the great view and nice breeze. (not that we were in there at all to
enjoy it) The air conditioner was very affective with a remote control on
the wall by the bed.
We finally made our way nervously to the nude pool area that night and
everybody was around the jacuzzi. We were very nervous having not gone
nude before. We stripped and jumped in the jacuzzi and settled down among
all of our new friends. The jacuzzi's temperature was perfect and the pool
was great also. I just went back and forth to get drinks and swim around.
The first night we started out with a great bartender named KP. Very
friendly and offered anything you would need to make your vacation perfect.
We found out soon that all the different bartenders have their specialty
drink and I tried them all I think. They are all great. Just tell them
you want their specialty and they will give you their big Jamaican smile and
say, "sure, my pretty lady". Their accents and their way just made me
melt. :)
The second day I did the snorkeling cruise with the "Captain" (didn't get his
name) and "Tex" (Tex called him captain). He took us down the beach a
ways to find a good snorkeling site. He found an awesome one. There
was about 4 couples and we all got to snorkel for about 30 min. When we
drove back the "Captain" told us about the area and the shopping sites and
resorts along the way. By the time we got back it took about an hour total.
Very worth it if you like to snorkel.
I wanted to dive while down there but wasn't certified and thought that they
charged too much and made you stay in class too long to do that. Didn't
want to waste a minute while I was down there. They need to come up with a
quick cert like they do in Hawaii where you take a quick 30 min test and then
just dive along next to the dive master. No certification involved but you
get to go diving without the hassle or cost.
Afterwards we went to the Scotch Bonnet for lunch again and had cheeseburgers
and what was funny was they were hot too.....they had a little jerk chicken
sauce on them. They were good.
That night we all congregated to the main dining room and our group took a
lot of the tables and put them together by the stage and enjoyed dinner and
the show the resort dancers put on. Afterwards we all went to our rooms and
dressed in our PJ's for the club that night. What a night. Everybody wore
sexy PJ's...some didn't wear much more than a leather strap. It was great.
We had a great night of dirty dancing.
Wednesday was filled with leisure. Me and Jim went out snorkeling again.
We then played nude pool volleyball and ate a great lunch at the swim up nude
pool bar. It's fun to swim up, order your lunch and drink and sit in the
water and enjoy your lunch never having to get out. After lunch we cleaned
up and took the Shopping Tour HEDO had to offer to Ocho Rios for $15.00.
They took us for 3 hours to Ocho Rios to this crafts shopping place. It was
about a couple hundred little huts all crammed into this lot and you walk
around bargaining for everything. We got excellent prices on everything.
T-shirts were less than half the price. All the wooden carved animals that
they sell are all there and you can talk them down on the price. We got a 2
foot giraffe for like $15.00 and on the resort their like $60.00. You can
also buy a lot of the bracelets that they make there. They also have a Hard
Rock Cafe Outlet there that you can get those type of t-shirts and souvenirs
at good prices.
Thursday.....the best day of the whole trip. We started out by sunning and
drinking and enjoying all of our friends in the group. Michelle with HEDO
III (sales, I think) was able to treat our whole group to a cruise on a big
catamaran. So we got together our group of about 30 people and met on the
dock. After a few photos we boarded the glass bottom boat. We were taken
out to the Catamaran with it's own crew, "COOL JAZZ". They greeted us with
music dancing and drinking of course. We sailed the catamaran out for about
an hour and then stopped the boat so everyone could go snorkeling. I took an
underwater camera and got some great shots of an octopus I found out there.
After snorkeling, we started the fun drinking games we all played. Body
shots, beer chugging from between the girl's legs. Then the crew got us up
and we all danced and got dirty. The cruise was the best part of our trip
I think. After about an hour partying we sailed back into HEDO naked and
screaming. After leaving the dock we all ran to the waterslide and took it
over naked.
That night was toga night and we all dressed up as a group and we all looked
great. We had a great dinner at the buffet and watched the toga parade.
Then we were all off to the nude pool and jacuzzi. A couple of us....me,
Koz, George and a few others took over the waterslide at about 2am again
nude. Then we went to the jacuzzi again and wound down our awesome day.
The next day, friday, we were leaving. Man, was that hard. I think the
hardest part was putting on all those clothes. We said good-bye to all of
our new friends and headed back on the bus to the airport. That was an
adventure on it's own. We got stuck in Miami for two days because of the
United pilots strike. We finally made it home Saturday about 11:30pm.
Walter and Cheryl......Thank You so much for keeping the group connected on
the HEDO FUN PAGE. We loved meeting all of the group after talking to them
for a couple months. We even loved the one's we all recruited after we
arrived, like Thomas and Amy and Jeremy and Mandi. It just made it that
much better.
It was a trip of a lifetime and will never be forgotten. If I could give
one person credit for making our group feel special it would be "MICHELLE".
She was constantly in contact with us and doing things for us. THANK YOU
MICHELLE FROM SHAWNA AND JIM, YOU MADE OUR TRIP!!!!!!!! (just remember we
all have pictures from that cruise......:)
