The Wild Walt Legend

What is all this crap I hear about this Wild Walt Guy? What's the big deal? Is he real? Does he exist? Who cares anyway?

Here's where it all began:


Some years ago this rumor got started actually by some members of the group implying that no such guy really existed and that we all took turns pretending to be him in email and chats. It surfaced on all the message boards and even across several resorts in Jamaica. Especially Hedonism III. In fact the Superclubs resorts and Hedonism III have to this day been accused of making up this ficticious Wild Walt character as a gimmick to attract people to the resort for their kick off to summer promo. Some of the rumors Ive heard.

* He doesnt exist, just a ficticious character created by Hedonism III
* Yes people have MET him but have they met him twice?
* Mail to him is really answered by a Hedonism III staff member
* The Wild Bunch web site is a actually a site on a superclubs web server
* No 2 photos of Wild Walt look alike, Thus a different guy protrays him
* People claim they have met him but they only met him once and the photos are not him
* Directory assistance to his town doesnt have a listing for him
* His postal mail address is a travel promoters address contracted by superclubs
* The people that have been on multiple Wild Bunch Trips aren't talking
* Different people are said to protray him in chats and mail
* Call hedo III and he's never booked there during a Wild Bunch trip under the name he uses.
* Or, ask about him at Hedo and they say He was here yesterday Mon.
* His web site depicts him as a business executive, not likely to be so Wild
* Having a big group get together at Hedonism, they all forget about this guy anyway
* You will get group Hats and T Shirts, and they all come from Hedonism but they deny it.

As a result people, at Hedonism III, would ask about him and they would say, he just went that way or hes in the restaurant all for one to just miss him. He'll be here tomorrow. He's on a tour. Sometimes in some meeting. He came early and he's already gone. An emergency came up.

As time passed, he started to be sighted in various places, He's been spotted in Mexico, and even said to have had dinner with folks, He's been spotted at Hedo 2, But he claims he's never been there. He's been spotted in California and Florida. But no solid proof as yet. If you get a phone call from him, he doesnt sound like the person that call you before and claimed to be Wild Walt. He has been spotted as Bald, Tall, Short, Fat, Skinny, Just you name it. But to make matters worse, old time members wont even take up for the guy and wont admit actually having met him. Therefore the resort is plagued with people then, and even, to this day trying to verify that they have actually met him. People say they met him but a description does not ever seem to match others description. Some say he's 20 some say he's 60. I suppose that no one wants to actually admit it with a straight face. I guess that's where the WANNABE comes from, he simply wants to be something, But we think we've all got it figured out.....

He has been known to book a trip to Hedo and even the reservations desk didnt believe he was really coming in. I suppose a result of too many tricks and gags. When he is accused of something he somehow slips away and never accepts blame. He is devious, crafty, But certainly should exist just for our pleasure of punishing him for all that we have heard in his past.

Yes he's a character alright, One that will pull a prank on you in a heart beat just to watch you squirm. And to top it off blame someone else. He will wake you up in the middle of the night just to come out and play! He is said to make lots of noise, carries a whistle and now a fog horn, and dresses in the most stupid getups you will ever see.

Yes He exists, in spirit and maybe in person, You have to be the judge. What's the big deal anyway. The best part is even if he doesnt exist, we've all had the time of our lives anyway, so who really cares anyway.
